Project Archiving with Project Explorer
Sarcophagus Limited have launched a new version of their project document archive service called Project Explorer.
The project archive service is available in the following forms:
- Archive from client's own records to www.the-project.co.uk
- Archive from client's own records to searchable CD
- Archive from www.the-project.co.uk extranet to CD
The service can include:
- Fast paper drawing scanning up to A0 size using PDF or TIF formats
- Fast paper document scanning A5, A4 and A3 using multipage single file PDF format
- Bulk file format conversion from AutoCAD dwg, dwf, Microstation and other common formats to multipage PDF format
- Optional publishing to www.the-project.co.uk our project extranet
- Optional publishing to physical media such as CD or DVD with searchable fields
- Selective transfer to physical media from www.the-project.co.uk using our proprietary archiving software Project Explorer
- Collate selective archives such as Health & Safety files or Operation & Maintenance Manuals on CD
- Optional analogue form (i.e. Microfiche)
To complement www.the-project.co.uk, the company can convert paper based documents into live extranets using sophisticated scanning and document mapping techniques. The extranets can subsequently, if required, be converted into a Project Explorer CD with as built information or Health and Safety Manuals retaining audit trails, comments and all document revision history. This enables the building owners to automatically disseminate information with little management intervention.
The revolutionary Project Explorer software is contained on the CD along with all the project's drawings, specifications, test results, minutes, manufacturers’ literature etc in PDF format to enable anyone to find and print information without installing any software other than Adobe Acrobat Reader.
